Legacy Capital Advisors provides Buy Side advisory services to our clients seeking growth through the acquisition of specific strategic targets they have identified.  We take a thorough, consultative approach in order to negotiate, structure, finance, and close transactions that benefit our clients.  Our services typically include the following:

Assess Value and Fit

Legacy analyzes potential targets to determine the strategic, tactical, and financial value of the acquisition to our client.  Our process also reviews timing, antitrust matters, confidentiality, and other relevant issues to be considered in any potential acquisition.

Target Negotiations

Exclusively, on behalf of our client, Legacy contacts the owners of target companies in order to begin the negotiation process.  Following an expression of interest in a transaction, we initiate discussions with acquisition candidates and conduct additional analysis.  Then, Legacy works with our client to update the analysis of the acquisition’s value to our client.  Once a course of action is determined, Legacy proceeds with the negotiations. 

Secure Acquisition Financing

Legacy may assist our clients in securing financing for the acquisition. We begin to arrange the financing prior to purchase negotiations in order to expedite the process and allow our client to assess financing options.  Legacy has excellent relationships with commercial banks, mezzanine lenders, and private equity firms.  Legacy’s objective is to minimize both the cost of the acquisition and the resulting capital structure.

Closing the Transaction

Working closely with our clients’ legal counsel and accountants, Legacy takes a lead role in structuring and closing the transaction.
